Bio:

Dan Solovitz is active as a composer across the entertainment spectrum, having produced hundreds of pieces for recording artists, television and film.  His approach to creating music stems from his unique musical background and the tailored set of skills he has acquired.  Since youth, he has been a multi-instrumentalist and has been heavily interested in the role technology can play in creating music - the combination of creative and technical thought.  Classically trained as a percussionist and composer and armed with a natural ability to use computers to manipulate his creativity, Dan began his career as a programmer and engineer in Los Angeles and has since branched out as a composer into the media world.
Always striving to provide a cutting-edge sound, he has drawn clients such as Porsche, Converse, Merck, Corona, Sony and Target.  As an engineer he’s worked on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Nutty Professor 2 and The Replacements, and produced dozens of albums for recording artists ranging from folk to aggressive ‘ear-candy’ tech styles.  His film work for award-winning documentary filmmaker Melody Gilbert has toured the indie circuit and aired on The Sundance Channel.  Artist work includes award-winning remixes for Tommy Lee and Chainsaws & Children, as well as Billboard-charting dance work with ILONA EUROPA.  Integrated audio/video studios, proficiency with cutting-edge hardware & software, and vast experience being creative while meeting tough deadlines allow him to compose and produce in the format required by each individual project with extreme efficiency.
